Mr Boyle and Mr McCormack recently undertook a grading at the Dundee Black belt course. They were both successfully promoted - Mr Boyle to III Dan and Mr McCormack to II Dan, under the watchful eyes of Grand Master O'Neill.
Welcome to ACE Glasgow Taekwondo's official website! We are a ITF practicing Taekwondo school in Glasgow. Here, we offer an opportunity to learn Taekwondo, following the late founder, General Choi's, instructions.
ACE (Authentic Centres for Excellence), founded by Grand Master Paul Cutler, IX dan, is rich in tradition, but continuously moves forward. It aims to bring all true Taekwon-Do practitioners together to follow these same guidelines. A.C.E. Taekwon-Do welcomes Taekwon-Do Schools & Instructors with our same mind set. ACE has classes all over the world, including the UK, Ireland, Cyprus, South Africa and Australia!
In Glasgow, we offer two classes per week. One at Firhill Taekwondo school, instructed by Mr Boyle. And one at Glasgow Southside, instructed by Mr Carruthers.
General Choi is famous around the world, known as the father of Taekwondo. He devoted his life to Taekwondo.
He developed Taekwondo through the early 1950's, where he officially founded Taekwondo on 11th April 1955.
The Taekwondo world is eternally grateful to General Choi for gifting us the art of Taekwondo.
First Grand Master Rhee is a pioneer of Taekwondo, and introduced Taekwondo to the United Kingdom. Without him, Taekwondo wouldn't be where it is today
FGMR holds the title 'First Grand Master' as in 1997, he was the first person to be promoted to the rank 'Grand Master' by our late founder, General Choi.
FGMR is The Patron of A.C.E Taekwondo.
Grand Master Cutler is the founder and president of our orginisation, A.C.E. He looks to accord with the guidelines laid out in the Encyclopaedia of Taekwon-Do by the Founder, General Choi Hong Hi prior to his passing in 2002, and furthered by the teachings of First Grand Master Rhee.
Grand Master O'Neill was promoted to the rank of IX Degree, Grand Master in 2016 by First Grand Master Rhee.
Grand Master O'Neill is the current vice president of A.C.E Taekwondo and is well renowned for is unique ability in power breaking and his outstanding knowledge of the art.

On Sunday 25/02/24, Sahyun Tate hosted an online seminar, taught by by Grand Master Cutler, which was open to I Dans and above. Here, Grand Master Cutler went through various movements performed in I Dans patterns and answered any questions anyone had.
Absoloutely not! Any person at ages 7+ is welcome to our classes. Our classes are suitable for beginners and experienced practitioners alike.
No age is too old to join! Absolutely anyone is welcome to join our class.

On April 11th 1955, Taekwondo was officially founded by the late General Choi Hong Hi. General Choi was born on November 9th, 1918 and sadly passed on 15th June 2002. General Choi devoted his life to Taekwondo, always looking for new ways to improve.
